Position title
MEP Trainer
Description
Responsible to equip staff with the knowledge, practical skills and motivation to carry out their work activities effectively. Train the technical workforce to carry out installation, maintenance and troubleshooting.
Accountabilities
- Planning
- Training needs analysis for the relevant trades HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and Civil
- Develop training calendars – Master Calendar & On-Site Training Calendars
- Develop training plans for
- On-site customized training
- Supervisor, Team Leader, and Engineers training program
- Career Center Program
- Training Implementation
- Develop effective induction and training programs for new staff
- Monitor and review the progress of trainees through brief questionnaires and assessments.
- Developing video training library for relevant trades HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and Civil
- Maintain staff training records for client reports and company requirement.
- Devise individual learning plans and conduct assessments.
- Produce training materials for in-house courses for trades HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and Civil
- Create and deliver a range of training using classroom, online, videos and blended learning
- Conduct specific training as generated by site managers from time to time
- Guide team members and resolve any issues that occur on the job.
- Learning Management System
- Using digital tools to create flexible and innovative learning programs
- Support the deployment of learning programs including uploading and updating courseware and curricula, training assignments, learner notification text, and rules in LMS.
- Utilize knowledge of LMS capabilities to recommend delivery strategies that yield a rich, meaningful, and dynamic end-user experience.
- Utilize LMS reporting capabilities and develop custom reports to assist with planning and managing the company’s training and development initiatives.
- Run demos of the system and provide training to individuals and user groups.
- Ensure that participants are registered for Education and Training events and perform reconciliation functions with the Business office as needed
- Relationship Management
- Liaison with other departments to effectively mobilize and meet the technical workforce requirement on site.
- Help line managers solve specific training problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups
- Liaise with equipment and material suppliers to adjust training needs, schedules and styles
Education/ Qualification
Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical)
Experience
- 2 years experience in teaching and training individuals (classroom/technical workshop)
- 3 years experience in MEP systems, facilities management, manufacturing, and construction.
