Kitchen Technician
Description
- Interacting with dining staff to provide advice on equipment operation.
- Assisting in major repairs, upgrades, and large-scale maintenance tasks.
- Performing preventative and predictive maintenance checks as per manufacturers’ recommendations.
- Providing on-site support during special events and off-hours.
- Installing new equipment, repairing leaks, maintaining wiring controls, and replacing defective parts.
- Managing inventory and ensuring proper maintenance of tools and equipment.
Responsibilities
Key skills and knowledge areas include:
- In-depth knowledge of kitchen equipment.
- Repair and maintenance of various kitchen and refrigeration equipment.
- Buffet electrical set up during events.
- Understanding of DM/HACCP inspection requirements.
- Technical knowledge in kitchen hood separation and Ansul system operation.
- Basic Food Hygiene training.
- Familiarity with fire alarm and firefighting systems.
- Awareness of DM hygiene requirements.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and follow manuals for operations and installations.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Quick response to emergency repair calls.
- Soldering and blazing skills.
- Ability to work independently and troubleshoot effectively.
- Attention to detail in equipment servicing and installation.
- Skills in laying electrical and sound cables, setting up audiovisual equipment, and completing work orders accurately.
