Field Service Technician
Description

The Field Service Technician will provide service support for electronic and electrical products, requiring strong technical troubleshooting skills and intermediate product knowledge. The role demands team-oriented, flexible, and effective communication abilities. Responsibilities include installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining equipment at customer sites. The technician must be self-motivated, disciplined, and capable of working independently, with basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and installations as per contractual KPIs.
  • Document inspections, maintenance, and repairs in a timely manner.
  • Manage spare parts, preventive maintenance schedules, and customer follow-ups.
  • Participate in site surveys, meetings, and service activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Travel and shift work required, including weekends and overnight shifts.
Position Requirements
  • Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent technical training.
  • 2-3 years of experience in troubleshooting and field repair of electrical/electronic systems.
  • Smiths Detection product experience (CXS, WTMD, EDS) is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • UAE driving license preferred for airport permit access.
  • English required, Arabic is an advantage.
Physical/Mental Requirements
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle stress and multitask.
  • Physically fit to lift and transport equipment.
  • Flexible shift work, including day, evening, and night shifts.
Work Environment
  • On-site work at airports and related facilities.
