Reporting to the Senior Manager of Business Development, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day BD activities across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and the Western Region, with a primary focus on driving growth in the security business. The role encompasses all aspects of the business development lifecycle, from opportunity identification to proposal development, supporting specific pursuits, and maintaining the operational infrastructure of Farnek’s business development activities.
This position requires a high level of organization, coordination, and collaboration within a dynamic team environment. The ideal candidate must engage effectively with colleagues across departments and at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership, to support business development systems, processes, and strategic initiatives.
- Manage and maintain the customer relationship management (CRM) and BD database (e.g., Salesforce), ensuring data accuracy and generating reports.
- Develop and maintain content libraries for proposals and other deliverables.
- Identify, qualify, and secure business opportunities, developing tailored BD strategies to achieve growth targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential clients.
- Register Farnek on relevant portals to enhance visibility and secure quality bids.
- Conduct site inspections, surveys, and meetings with clients to understand requirements and offer tailored solutions.
- Provide market intelligence and information gathering to identify new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with leadership and the BD team to secure, retain, and expand client accounts.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to potential clients at meetings, industry events, and conferences.
- Perform cold calling, conduct follow-ups, and ensure the sales commitment is fulfilled through the closing process.
- Meet or exceed quotas for calls, appointments, and BD goals while maintaining short- and long-term business development plans.
- Foster collaboration across teams to achieve BD objectives and improve process efficiency.
- Ensure consistent communication with clients to fulfill sales commitments and nurture relationships.
- Monitor and contribute to BD goals, planning, and forecasting to support the company’s growth initiatives.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with colleagues and staff across the organization.
