Position title
Senior Engineer – Kitchen and Facilities Oversight
Description
The Senior Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, safety, and compliance of kitchen facilities across all 3rd party leased outlets. The role involves regular inspections, ensuring service standards, coordinating with outlet management, attending site visits and meetings, and handling escalations, with a focus on operational efficiency and compliance. The engineer will also produce comprehensive monthly reports on the status of all outlets.
Responsibilities
- Regular Inspections:
- Conduct routine inspections of kitchen facilities across all leased outlets to ensure cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
- Compliance with Local Regulations
- Confirm that the system complies with local environmental health and safety codes, particularly for air quality and emissions.
- Verify that proper documentation, such as permits and inspection reports, is maintained by each Outlets.
- Recommendations for Improvements\
- Provide recommendations for any necessary repairs, component replacements, or process improvements to maintain system performance.
- Service Report Monitoring:
- Review and assess service reports related to the kitchen extract systems, grease trap cleaning, ecology units, and duct cleaning services to ensure all systems are functioning as per standards.
- Coordination and Follow-up:
- Collaborate closely with Restaurant Management to address rectifications and ensure compliance with operational standards.
- Escalate any unresolved issues to EHG, particularly in cases of non-compliance.
- Site Visits and Meetings:
- Attend all site visits, meetings, and inspections between the Restaurant Management and their Service Providers, particularly when operational issues arise.
- Issue Escalation and Investigation:
- Lead investigations and collaborate with Restaurant Management in case of escalations such as food smell, air quality issues water leakages, drainage overflow, etc…. Support in identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions, follow up closely until completion.
- Monthly Reporting:
- Prepare and present monthly reports detailing the status, compliance, and operational challenges of each outlet to EHG for review and action planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in facilities management, kitchen systems, or HVAC systems.
- Strong knowledge in kitchen extract systems, ecology units, grease trap cleaning, and duct maintenance UV system, Ansul and water mist system.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external service providers.
